Permission to fly

On the front cover of my picture books, I wanted to include the SDG logo as they are all inspired by the 17 goals. So obtaining permission to use the SDG logo was important for me. Visual communication is always good for the United Nations as the book will be seen by the younger generation who are not aware of these logos and the work around them.


I also think it would be nice for people who work on the subjects can take one home to show their little ones and could spark conversations.


I filled out a form that their website provided and applied online for permission from the UN to use the SDG logo on the front of each of the 17 books. To my delight, the UN replied positively within a couple of days from New York allowing me to use the logos for my project, and asked in return that I put a clause in the credit part of my books and a link to the SDG goals webpage, which I have done.
